dgb announces the retirement of our esteemed Chairman, Ian Pentecost, on 31 March 2025 following an illustrious career that spanned over 40 years. Under Ian’s chairmanship, the firm has grown into one of the leading firms of solicitors in Kent, renowned for its commitment to excellence, client service and commerciality.
Ian joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 1983 and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a partner in 1987. He was appointed Chairman in 2000. His strategic vision, deep legal expertise and unwavering dedication to the firm’s clients have been central to dgb’s success. During his tenure, the firm has set a high service level as standard, expanded its client base, welcomed new talent and delivered innovative legal solutions to clients in various sectors.
In a statement, Ian expressed his gratitude to the entire firm for their hard work and dedication. “It has been an honour to lead such a superb team. Together, we have enjoyed remarkable success. The firm has appointed Colin Moore as its new Chairman. Colin joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 1999, became a partner 2003 and is highly regarded for his thorough and intelligent approach to complex matters, wide experience and management expertise. He heads an experienced partnership that will no doubt flourish and grow for years to come.
